Research Interests

I am broadly interested in the implications of judgment and decision making research for practical areas such as public policy and consumer marketing. I conduct research on the effect of information on judgments and decisions in applied areas; my current research examines how food label format affects nutritional judgment accuracy and healthy choices. I am also interested in increasing the quantitative rigor of methodologies used in psychological research and focus on the application of mathematical and statistical modeling methods in my own work.

Research Assistant: Create and manage research study databases; determine appropriate methodology for creating additional databases appropriate for analysis; collaborate with primary investigator to determine appropriate methodology for analysis; analyze and interpret raw data using Judgment and Decision Making quantitative methodology; report on progress and findings to colleagues and in written reports; instruct, direct, and oversee undergraduate research assistants in data management, analysis, and study report.
