How do you want to CREATE FOR GOOD?

Dean's Welcome

Welcome! We're glad you're here, and we invite you to take a look around and get to know the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology, where we create for good.

Do you have a passion for thinking? Making? Doing? Transforming? If so, the Russ College is the place for you.

You may be interested in how technology affects our society, its economy, its environment, its future. We are too, and we believe this sets us apart from other colleges, even those that include formal coursework in studying those interactions. Because in the Russ College, we don't just ask how we can do something, we ask why we should.

It's not a course. It's not a certificate. It's not a box to be checked off. It's a culture.

Start your freshman year in a Learning Community and make early connections with friends and faculty. Get involved with a student competition team, the Engineering Ambassadors, or a co-op or internship. Or become one of several hundred undergraduates who participate in research with renowned scholars who also love teaching.

Let us know how we can help you on your exciting journey toward discovering how you will create for good. We look forward to helping you. That's why we're here.
