The OHIO Group Partnership Programs in Jordan

ICTE for Teachers (Certificate Program): University of Jordan

Program Goals, audience, and related information:

The ICTE Certificate program provides an opportunity for teachers in primary and secondary education to build and enhance capacities in the use of technology for teaching and learning in educational settings. The program is committed to preparing teachers to effectively use instructional design models to integrate technology into course content to meet the needs of today’s digital learner using open source applications and tools and the completion of a final project.

The program is designed for teachers and those aspiring to become teachers. A total of 24 credit hours of coursework, including a culminating digital graduation project, are required. Program completion generally takes 3 semesters.

Program courses and major assessments are aligned with  ISTE  (International Society for Technology in Education) and the  NETS/NETS* standards  (National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers and National Educational Technology Standards for Students).

Program Goals, audience, and related information:

The Master’s program in ICTE provides an opportunity for teachers in primary and secondary education to build and enhance capacities in the use of technology for teaching and learning in educational settings. The program is committed to preparing teachers to effectively use instructional design models to integrate technology into course content to meet the needs of today’s digital learner. This program is more in depth in the use of technology for the building of web pages using industry standard software such as Dreamweaver, HTML 5, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, e-learning environments and advanced instructional design.

The program is designed for teachers and those aspiring to become teachers. A total of 33 credit hours of coursework, including a culminating digital graduation project, are required. Program completion generally takes 4 semesters.

Program courses and major assessments are aligned with  ISTE  (International Society for Technology in Education) and the  NETS for Coaches standards  (National Educational Technology Standards for Technology Facilitators and Coaches).

Executive MBA (Master’s Program): Mutah University

Program Goals, audience, and related information:

The Executive MBA Master’s program is designed to explore the application of business theories in a Jordanian context. The program examines today’s issues and trends in the market as well as accounting needs, global management, marketing and human resource management.

The program is designed business leaders and those aspiring to become business leaders. A total of 27 credit hours of coursework, including a culminating digital graduation project, are required. Program completion generally takes 3 semesters.

Program Goals, audience, and related information:

The IT for School Administrator’s Certificate supports the school administrator in the implementation of technology and the strategic planning of the integration of technology for effective instructional practice. The development of formative and summative assessments for the purpose of data-driven decision making will be a strong aspect of this program.

Program Goals, audience, and related information:

The Special Education: Gifted and Talented program provides educators and educational leaders an opportunity to build and enhance capacities in the area of gifted and talented service in local, regional, state, national, and international educational settings. The program is committed to preparing educators to provide leadership that enhances the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of educational institutions, and promotes improved academic outcomes for all students but especially those students identified as gifted and talented within schools.

The program is designed for educational leaders and those aspiring to become educational leaders. Depending on the Track (1, 2, 3) a total of 36 credit hours of coursework, including a culminating (research) graduation project, are required. Program completion generally takes 4 semesters.

The program follows the  National Standards  for the preparation of teachers of the Gifted and Talented.

The program is committed to preparing students to provide leadership that enhances the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of educational institutions, and promotes improved academic outcomes for all students.

The program is designed for educational leaders and those aspiring to become educational leaders. A total of 42 credit hours of coursework, including a culminating (research) graduation project, are required. Program completion generally takes 4 semesters.

Program courses and major assessments are aligned with  NCATE  (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) and  ELCC  (Educational Leadership Constituent Council).
