In Her Own Words:

I am interested in the impact nonprofit arts organizations have on rural communities, specifically Appalachia. I will be working with  organizations who use creative placemaking to create social change in their local areas. I am specifically interested about changes in health, economy and education of these areas.

I was accepted in the Diversity in the Arts Leadership Program hosted by Americans for the Arts. Through this internship, I will be placed with a nonprofit organization, be given a professional mentor, and attend workshops about how to become an influential leader in the arts field. This prestigious 10 week program will teach students how to create cultural equity within the organizations and communities they will work in the future.”
