Admission Information
To enroll as a student at Ohio University Southern Campus, a student must have a high school diploma or GED. The Southern Campus has no deadline for admission during any semester; however, prospective students are advised to begin the application process as soon as possible so that they may be given important dates and deadlines in a timely manner.

Financial Aid and FAFSA
Students can also apply for other financial aid opportunities by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at each year after January 1st.

By completing the FAFSA, students can apply for the Federal Pell Grant, Ohio College Opportunity Grant, federal student loans, work-study, and other types of aid. For first consideration of federal campus based aid at Ohio University, students
should file the FAFSA no later than February to meet the first priority deadline of March 15.

Placement Testing
All new, incoming freshmen (and transfer students who have not taken freshman-level math and/or English) must take the Placement Test. The Placement Test will examine a student's math, English, and reading skills. Academic advisors will use the results of this test to place students in the proper courses. The placement test requires advanced registration at no charge. No calculators are permitted.
