I. Assistant/Associate Professor – Rural Economic Development

The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, OH seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Rural Economic Development. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research. 

We are particularly interested in candidates with interest or expertise in entrepreneurship, social enterprise, network analysis, or collaborative studies.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's extensive applied work portfolio, develop an interdisciplinary research program, mentor MPA & MSES students, and participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching at the School. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's extensive applied work portfolio.

II. Assistant/Associate Professor –Public Management and Leadership

The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, OH seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Public Management. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research. 

We are particularly interested in faculty candidates who have a commitment to teaching a wide range of public administration courses, yet there is specific interest in candidates capable of instruction in public management.  Although the substantive area is open, of particular interest are scholars with applied research and teaching interests in human resource planning, operations, leadership studies, or public-private partnerships.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's extensive applied work portfolio, develop an interdisciplinary research program, mentor MPA students, and participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching at the School. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's extensive applied work portfolio.

III. Assistant/Associate Professor –Public Policy

The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, OH seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Policy. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research. 

We are interested in faculty candidates who have a commitment to teaching a wide range of public policy courses including but not limited to, public policy analysis and policy implementation. Of particular interest are scholars with research and teaching interests in public policy issues relating to science, technology, energy, the environment, or health.  Substantive area is open, yet those with an interest in environmental policy are strongly encouraged to apply. IV.Assistant/Associate Professor – Environmental Studies

The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, OH seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Environmental Studies. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research.

We seek to hire a candidate who has expertise in ecology, biology, geography, or other related environmental field.  In addition, applied research and experience in terrestrial ecology, energy, sustainability, or climate change policy is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an interdisciplinary, extramurally funded research program, mentor M.S. students, and participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching in Environmental Studies. V. Associate/Full Professor and Director, Environmental Studies

We seek to hire a candidate with a Ph.D. in an environmentally related field, evidence of scholarly research, a record of graduate and undergraduate teaching and advising, and experience in academic leadership and administration. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic leadership for the Environmental Studies academic program and promote faculty, staff, and student collaboration in interdisciplinary environmental scholarship, instruction, and community engagement.
