Journalist Dimiter Kenarov will discuss fracking around the world

On Monday, February 25, Pulitzer Center Journalist Dimiter Kenarov will visit the Athens campus. His discussion session will be held in Room 105 in Porter at 5 p.m. His lecture is titled "Shale Gas from Poland to Pennsylvania: Global Business, Local Costs."

Kenarov is a freelance journalist and writer from Istanbul, Turkey, who covers stories from around the world. He is currently working for the Pulitzer Center of Crisis Reporting. He will be discussing the benefits and the dangers of shale gas extraction, which is also known as hydraulic fracturing or fracking. He will focus on the ways in which this process may affect local communities and the environment.
