Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs will host the 3rd Annual Appalachian Ohio State of the Region Conference scheduled for May 20, 2014.  The event will be held in the Walter Hall Rotunda on the campus of Ohio University. This day-long conference will address the region’s current status and opportunities in the manufacturing sector by bringing together national leaders and industry experts to discuss recent trends and developments.

WHAT:  “State of the Region Conference – “Manufacturing in Appalachia: Opportunities Abound

WHERE: Margaret M. Walter Hall, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio

WHEN: May 20, 2014, registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and event runs until 5:00 p.m.

There will be no charge for admission. There will be ample free parking on campus and lunch will be provided.

The annual event is part of the Voinovich School's U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) University Center activities and is sponsored by the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth (APEG) and the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).  Local Development Districts (LDDs), local governments, and area businesses are also strong partners in planning and participating in the program.
