Director, Center for Public and Social Innovation

Dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, the position will be Tenure Track (Ph.D. Required) or Non-Tenure Track (Master’s or Terminal Degree Required)

The Director will:

  1. Develop the Center’s state and national presence by leading the School’s unique public and social innovation applied programs

  2. Develop the agenda and strategic plan for the Center

  3. Build connections with relevant partners within the University, the field and the community and important funders.

  4. Provide leadership to the development of new certificates and executive programs that promote public and social innovation with other colleges at Ohio University.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Sustainability & Environmental Policy, tenure-track

Candidates must have a Ph.D. (by August 15, 2014) or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research.  This is a full-time twelve month tenure-track engaged faculty appointment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research experience in environmental sustainability, environmental studies, environmental economics, or related environmental policy areas. We are interested in candidates with experience and interest in interdisciplinary, collaborative, and learning by doing educational approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School’s extensive applied work portfolio, develop an interdisciplinary research program, and teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students at the School.

Procurement Specialist

This position will be located in Cincinnati, OH with circuit rider responsibilities.

The Ohio University Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs welcomes applications for Procurement Specialist to deliver quality, cost effective and expeditious counseling for obtaining government contracts to OU Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) clients in Cincinnati, Ohio.  This will include general counseling on business development, which involves knowledge of how to create professional relationships with government program managers and contracting officers, as well as with prime contractors. A working knowledge of best business practices specifically for performing on government contracts is required, which shall include a pragmatic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, as well as of State and local procurement regulations.
