Locally-owned Little Fish Brewing Company will take center stage at this week’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs lunch and learn installment, held in the new CoLab on the third floor of Alden Library. Co-sponsored by Ohio University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, a partnership between the Voinovich School and the College of Business, the presentation will explore how a local business can remain both profitable and sustainable.

On Friday, Oct. 26 from 12-1 p.m., Little Fish Brewing Company owner Sean White and sustainability coordinator Erica Mirth, a former Environmental Studies certificate student, will discuss Little Fish’s specific sustainability efforts, as well as local sourcing and community building as the business plans goals for the future.

White has been a professional brewer for eight years and he obtained his culinary degree from Hocking College. He was raised in Athens and has been inspired by the sustainability efforts of other local food businesses, and well as the farmers market culture in the southeast Ohio region.

Pizza will be provided, but participants should bring their own water bottles, as this is a zero waste event. Voinovich School Lunch and Learn programs are held each Friday at noon, rotating between The Ridges buildings 21 and 22. See the attached flyer for more information
