The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs will host a Green Jobs Panel on Monday, April 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Alden Library Room 319.

The panel discussion is open to Ohio University students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members who are interested in learning from people in various environmental job sectors about their academic and career paths.

Attendees will hear tips for finding a “green” job and learn more about what skills and qualifications employers are looking for, including information about the Environmental Studies undergraduate certificate and graduate program offered by the Voinovich School.

Panelists include Michelle Greenfield of Third Sun Solar and Wind; Michelle Shively of Sunday Creek Watershed and Rural Action; Mat Roberts of Go Bus and HAPCAP; Alex Cole of the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition; Athens County Commissioner Chris Chmiel; and Jen Bowman, director of Environmental Programs at the Voinovich School.

Refreshments will be served at the event, which is sponsored in part by Rural Action, Third Sun Solar and Wind, Athens County Commissioners, Go Bus, HAPCAP, and the Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition.
